Toowoomba is the second largest inland city in Australia and is situated 127km west of Brisbane on the crest of The Great Dividing Range, around 700 metres above sea level. Antiques and collectables are available throughout the region and for those with an interest in history there are many museums and historical villages within a short drive of the city. The annual Carnival of Flowers in September is Toowoomba’s premier garden event and showcases a week long gardening and flower celebration. Gardenfest is held in May each year and numerous open gardens are featured throughout the year.
